Graphene
Our graphene is greater than 99% pure and turbostratic, which means it is individual layers of two-dimensional graphene stacked upon themselves. The nature of turbostratic stacking is the formation of multiple layers with low interlayer interaction, which means the stacking follows certain rotation angles that create misalignment. With fewer points of interaction between the layers created by this misalignment, turbostratic graphene exhibits properties and capabilities like that of monolayer graphene.
Graphene has a wide range of potential applications due to its exceptional mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. It can be used in electronics, energy storage, coatings, composites, lubricants, biomedical devices, and a myriad of other applications.
Carbon Nano Onions
Carbon Nano Onions (CNOs) are quasi-spherical nanoparticles consisting of fullerene-like carbon layers enclosed by concentric graphitic shells.
Because of their unique structure and small diameter, CNOs also boast exceptional mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties leading to their potential use in a wide variety of applications. For example, CNOs boast an exceptionally high electrical conductivity making them a potential replacement for graphite in battery and supercapacitor electrodes for high-power applications and for low temperature devices using ionic liquid electrolytes.
A proven product of our novel technology, our team is now researching ways to increase CNO output to meet demand at the commercial scale.
